Hi everyone. I went out for a spin this morning to clear the head before Christmas and got a puncture in my rear tyre (tubular). I had a bit of stans sealant left over from my days as a mountain biker and I decided to try a quick fix. I got some of the sealant into the valve using a coke bottle with a hole drilled in the cap, pumped it to 140psi and so far so good. Has anyone ever tried this? Im a bit nervous about it letting me down some day but don't want to throw away the tyre as theres plenty of life left in it still. Happy Christmas all!

If you have put it in last year it will have dried out to latex cobwebs by now.

It's still holding up at the min anyway, only thing I find with it it blocks up the valves so you need to clean them out. It was a new gp4000 tub with about 50/60 km done so it was worth a try and done the job at the time,I will be fitting new gp's next year anyway,

    Zip,

I know its prob tufo specific but the tufo tub glue works brilliantly.
Although tufo tubs don't have any tubes not sure it would work and you need to be able to remove the valve core
