No Brussels Sprouts

I went to Tesco last night to get dinner for tomorrow and there were no brussels sprouts :( not a single one in the place!

I don't know what to do...Christmas dinner is not Christmas dinner without a few sprouts, do I risk battling through the crowds in Lidl or Aldi just for sprouts or will I have the dinner without them?

Why didn't you grow your own?

They might be back in Tesco today

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

Maybe I should next year...and then when Tesco are sold out, I could sell them out the back of my car for extortionate prices, Delboy style.

    I like your thinking Kettleson.

Buy a small cabbage and remove all the outer leaves until you have a big sprout (or an even smaller cababge)

I didn't get in there until late as I'd been working.
I was too stressed and tired to go elsewhere.

You should also consider growing candles during the summer for sale next Christmas? They are very easy to cultivate and burn very brightly at Christmas time.

Why not make some curried holly soup and have it for sale when the pubs throw out the revellers? If you buy 100 sandwich bags from Tesco you could change the packing to "Santa's Xmas Balloons". People will buy any old sh1t at the most wonderful time of the year.

A merry Christmas one and all.

Or use a melon baller on the cabbages to get a more authentic look.
