I have no idea how I hurt my arse but I have. I have a pain the left hand ass cheek that gets worse with any movement. Is it possible to pull a muscle in the ass?

Serious reply: it could be your sciatic nerve. Theres some simple stretches you can do to relieve pain. See here:

try that for a day or two, then go to a physio.

It's the night before xmas eve. Doubt I'm going to get a physio or even a gp anytime soon.

That's hilarious what you asked. Yep. It's hurts when cough, laugh, move. Haven't tried bending over. Just after crawling into bed so think I might try and get back up and look for some pain relief meds like neurofen.

Roll on top of a golf ball to release any trigger points. Google it.

No, seriously ...a few hours bowling, if you've never done it before, will make you walk very funny the next day

The reason i asked was i had something similar and it took a couple of visits to a physio but the main thing to come out of it was the fact that my glutes had locked up as i had hurt something in my lower back so when i tried to reach my toes to put it another way my lower back had basically locked up

Try resting a hot water bottle on the offending buttock.

I have a heated microwavable cushion on my bum now and that is helping a little. Thanks.

Hell yes it is. I'd love to report it was because of some amorous exploit, but no, it was because of old guy moving in an odd way doing something mundane and *twang*, painful arse. Only happened a fortnight ago and hear I am before ye, buttock challenged.

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

Same here, as yourself. I wasn't doing anything major. Some lifting at work, I reckon is how I hurt my ass. How are you doing now with your sore arse?

You should really go to your gp.

I had a pain like this before and it turned out to be a thing called pilonidal sinus ...the worst pain I have ever experienced.

Not saying this is what you've got, go visit your doctor to be sure.
