Hi, I'm just about to join Connaught Aero Club with a view to doing my PPL. Could anyone recommend where I could purchase the complete set of books etc for the four exams?

    Kind Regards, Paul.

Trevor Thom books are the most popular for PPL studies. I've attached a link to them all. I wouldn't recommend u buy all of them though, some won't be needed. Best to talk to your club and see which ones they recommend! Flying Training is a must and Air Law and Met will come in handy. I'd say you'd get away with just them, but check with your club or instructor first.

Thanks very much folks for all your help. I think the first port of call will be Mr. Kilcoyne to see what he recommends.

My objective is to become an instructor. I love teaching and I love aviation in all its forms. There is the temptation to head on over to EASA.com in Florida and get it done in one go, but I'm drawn to the club in Knock. Its not far from my home and just 10mins from my work. Plus a workmate is a member and instructor.

I would like to get stuck into the books asap. I know the theory like the back of my hand, but it isn't worth a damn until I pass. I hear I can do the EASA exams in Eniskillen.

    Anyway, on with the research!

    Kind Regards,

    P
