Provide detail as to why you were assaulted.

I also find it terribly hard to believe that Gardaí laughed in your face.

Well considering you lost your wallet and phone, I wouldn't hold out much hope for the blade being there when you reached for it.

I stopped taking you seriously after reading that. If what your saying is true, and I seriously doubt it, then it's no wonder they laughed at you as you appear to have a gigantic concrete chip on your shoulder.

Ah yeah, all this incomprehensible situation needed was a couple of stabbings to sort it out. That'd make everything better.

I'm finding it very easy. Just wish I could have been there.

You can picture the scene. One of the busiest nights in the station and some fella arrives in. He has had 9 1/2 pints on board, is wearing a christmas jumper and is demanding justice after been kicked out of a pub.

OP, where were your buddies when You were getting a kicking?
Did they not wade in to help? Did one of them offer to give you money to cover the taxi home?

Who do you think was kicking the shìte out of him? OP isn't liked at work & this was his written warning from work.

    1. Put on stupid jumper
    2. Drink 10 pints
    3. *scene missing*
    4. Complain in After Hours

I'm just surprised the Guards resisted the urge to also give you a kicking!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,557 ✭✭✭wexfordman2

Got too drunk to stand up, and your complaining about the garda laughing at you, and then you post up your experience so the rest of us can laugh at you too!!

Seriously, no sympathy for someone that stupid! Arsed holes like you make going out over Christmas a nightmare, never mind costing us a fortune by having to pay for the garda to look after you in your drunken stupor.

I'd be more annoyed if they showed any sort of concern over your lost wallet.

You know it's not often I find myself moved by a thread on AH but OP you've my full respect and deepest sympathies. I hope you find the strength and courage to persevere these icy storms you're currently experiencing. You know, it's not how many times you get knocked down but how many times you can get back up. And you got knocked down OP. Not only that but you were kicked while you were down and that's tough. Then you went to the law enforcement to be ridiculed and that's rough. So you came to AH. You know, I'm glad you did because at least now some of us can offer you kind words to help console your bruised ego. Some, not all but I expect those giving you a hard time are just dishing out some tough love. We all love you here OP. It's important that you know that because only the love and kindness of strangers will get you through this. I know it might not seem like it now but you will get through it, the night is always darkest before the morning. You're a wonderful person with loads to offer so don't let this little episode get you down too much but hey, if it does that's ok too just remember we'll always be here for you, to hold your hand and guide you or maybe give you a little hug if needs be. So keep that chin up op, push forward, don't look back and remember we'll always be here to catch you if you fall xxxx

There's obviously so much we're not hearing here. If you're the kind to think that bringing a knife would solve a situation, then you and your friends are more than likely the kind to start things off too.. especially on 12 Pubs of Christmas where, evidently, you cannot hold your alcohol either.

    So lemme get this right...

You likely started a fight with somebody or did something to provoke somebody - got your ass kicked - got kicked out because you were the one that started it.

I'm just surprised the Gardaí didn't put you in the drunk tank overnight and also charge you for wasting their time.

I think it is interesting the tone this thread has taken.

If OP were a girl who'd be attacked, I think it'd be very different in here. Oh - a bunch of guys attacked you? Well, what did YOU do? Where YOU drinking? Oh and the guards didn't believe you? Well, YOU must be lying.

Sad indeed....that anyone reporting a crime would be laughed at. And that we'd assume any conduct is deserving of being attacked and robbed.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,213 ✭✭✭pm1977x

How did you "end up on" the floor?

Also you say people were "trying to" kick you, were they all so drunk that they missed or did you deploy some sort of forcefield at that point?

Had a great night, Got sick and all.
    Ha Ha Ha

In fairness anyone, male or female that goes out intentionally to drink a pint in 12 pubs consecutively, deserves, first of all to be kicked repeatedly by any number of people who want to kick them and secondly, should in fact be laughed at by the guards as normal practise when dealing with any gob****e who thinks it's a good idea to do the 12 pubs

Plenty people doing the 12 pubs without ending up like the OP.
Why should someone be kicked repeatedly if they can handle their drink?

    Limerick newsflash: This just in....
A crazed drunken and penniless knifeman suffering from amnesia and no identification has reportedly lost his blade.
The police are saying that this is a laughing matter and will not be taking it seriously.

Most of them can't handle their drink that's the problem their falling around, getting into fights, pissin in the streets, and generally making a nuisance to guards and bouncers, most people on the 12 pubs can't drink 5 pints in one sitting never mind 12, they just go with the crowd and after 7 or 8 are usually ready to pass out
