Detergent damaged LCD TV screen

Hi. I have a 40 inch Samsung LCD TV. My Nephew tried cleaning the screen with some sort of detergent (don't know what though). Now the area cleaned is slightly dull and is quite noticeable when the screen is brightly lit or white. Does anyone know if there is a way of fixing this? Thanks.
