Dr Quirkey - The race starts and finishes in the village of Dromore West. First 8-9km are flat to downhill, with a good honest climb over the last mile back to the finish line.

Race is in aid of local community council. Its an accurately measured course, although there will be no chip timing or goody bag. We are expecting approx 100-150 participants. Registration, changing facilities and some post race refreshments at the community centre.

Would be delighted to see you there !

I may also be around this area during Christmas. Is it ok to roll up on the day and register/pay? Is the climb at the end a mile drag or is it a sharp incline? Wouldn't know this area at all. Thanks

No problem entering on the day. Registration opens at 9'30

Last mile is a drag along a river walkway. Very scenic if you still have the energy to take in the surroundings.

Brilliant, thanks. Is the course marked (miles,km)? Might run without the Garmin if it is. Thanks again

Folks hope you enjoyed the run this morning. Weather was very kind which resulted in a bigger than anticipated entry. Results will be posted on the FB page.

There were some teething problems with regard to the start and also the prize giving. Fyi. female prize winners will be notified shortly as there was confusion in processing the results.

All Feedback welcome. Hope everyone enjoyed the event and will return in 2014.

Very good value race. Great feed after! Lovely course and weather. Found the forest tricky but enjoyable nearing the end. Happy with my time although the written time was a bit off.

Great day and I would definitely do it again if around these parts again next year.
