I'm tip-toeing in here for the first time, ever, so be kind to a non-drinker please. I am thinking of buying a bottle of good quality tequila as a gift for someone who knows his tequila so i don't want to disappoint. Could someone advise what I should go for and how much I should spend. I've been told I will be shocked at the prices.

Cabo Wabo Blanco or Reposado are excellent Tequila, both are available in 'The Celtic Whiskey Shop'...http://www.celticwhiskeyshop.com/

Expect to pay €50-€60 respectively ;)

Yes, I reckon the Cabo Wabo is the best tequila available in Ireland too.
Personally, I prefer the blanco (cheaper) one.

The other premium tequila widely available here is Patron, which I think is overpriced.

Whatever tequila you buy make sure it says 100% Agave on the label somewhere.

Thank you for the information. They were right - shocking price! I may have to share the cost with another family member. :o
