Madigan's kicking will be severely tested tonight. Absolutely pissing it down, this won't be a cracker I'd imagine!

    It's still 0-0.

The pitch is destroyed where that scrum was.

Good phase from EDI.... Spilled ball ends the move
(Which could be the story of this game)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,636 ✭✭✭✭Tox56

This is going to be a simply terrible game

I wish the commentators would ccommentate on the match and not use the 80 mins to air their views on the world of rugby or the weather

    So so many knock ons

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,658 ✭✭✭Kanrith

Was BOD needed for a game with this weather?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,892 ✭✭✭spank_inferno

    Good scrum from EDI.

    Chance lost for Leinster.

If there was an award for a thread containing vague comments intentionally giving little information to those not able to watch this would be a strong contender!

Scrum going well? Interesting incidents? Penalties?

Dundon having a bit of a mare so far. Don't often say that.

This is like a closed spectator friendly...

    Is Madigan carrying a knock?

Very little going on. Lots of knock ons, pitch in ****e, lots of kicking, nobody you could really say playing well. Leinster have lost two lineouts so far. 0-0

Some team or other possibly made a nice play involving one or more of the players on the pitch! : D

It says a lot about this match that there has been nothing of note so far

Neither team able to hang onto the ball long enough to build any momentum. Neither team owning scrum. Leinster lineout quite shaky.

No crowd at all, stands completely empty and its pissing rain.

Plenty of knock ons, no kickable penalties as of yet, backs liable to catch a nasty cold

Did the ref just say "no forcing up"? Would that mean that he knew that the Edi 2 was driving up in the last scrum, but yet gave him the penalty?

1 scrum peno for Leinster, 1 for Edinburgh, Dundon overthrew a lineout which is obviously rare. Kirchner had a couple of interesting rules incidents, one where he touched the ball down as it was rolling and he had one foot out of play but Fitz said it was a 22 because he didn't pick it up first. Also caught a ball while in the air and landed out of play, asked for it to be called out on the full but it was given as Edinburgh lineout where he went out.

    Zero aggression in the carry.

Are you serious? You don't need to pick it up, by touching a moving ball whilst your foot is out is making the ball dead whilst still in motion from previous players touch..

Again....are you serious?? When in the air you are not in play, if you land outside, it's out on the full...

    Oh fu*king hell Fitzgibbon...

Edinburgh trying to hold us up in contact a lot

    Jennings having a good game.

Leo's rucking is constantly incredibly borderline/dirty (delete as appropriate).

PENALTY!!! We're going to be hard to catch now, what a moment, what a team!!! Legends the lot of them.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,906 ✭✭✭jamiedav2011

Dave Denton has to be the most Jekyll and Hyde player in the NH. Can be insanely good and stupidly average in the same move!

7 groundsmen trying to repair the pitch whenever there's a break in play.

Conditions are genuinely terrible. Wet, windy and the pitch is cutting up so easily.

Absolute clear knock on there from Embra missed.

We need to start kicking low more though when on front foot.

Fitzgibbon needs to go to Specsavers. Driving me nuts.
