DayZ: Standalone vs Arma Mod

Currently debating whether or not to buy the standalone version on Steam. Mainly because it's early access and I've heard of a people experiencing few bugs. Just wondering is it worth dishing out the extra cash at this stage or would it be better to stick to the Arma II mod and wait for a better update at a later stage.
    Would love opinions!

It's early Beta, so it is going to have issues, but from what I've been told, it's great fun.

I'd pick it up if I knew there was a dedicated base of players that I could play with, but solo Day Z is frustrating!

Wait a few days until the steam sale and buy both for about 30 quid.

Arma 2 is more than Dayz.

No way the SA is gonna be in the sale after only being on the store for 2 days

    Sorry

    Arma will be cheap

    Dayz will be same price.

    30 will get you both.

At the moment theres no contest for me, the mod is in much better shape. The standalone is no where near complete,it really is an early access game. I did buy it because I hope it will get better but I only purcjased for the discount insted of buying full release. I wont play it till its further along.

The mod though has everything, different maps if you fancy and different versions of the mod via something like dayz commander.

Playing epoch at the moment and its fantastic.

As someone else said you also have Arma 2 with that aswell.

So at the moment for me theres no contest, its the mod all the way for me

Current Humble weekly sale is somewhat relevant

Yep, I'm one of the thousands of newbies to the game from the humblebundle collection. Had a lot of trouble getting Day Z to run via Steam but if you install Day Z commander it takes care of everything.
