Health check / bloods

Hi, I have €100 on my health insurance for a health check. Ideally I was looking to get bloods done and get cholesterol with particle break down, resting glucose, inflammation, etc... The LCHF before and after type list of bloods. Anyone recommend somewhere, I'm based in Clontarf. Some places seem to do it at large expense and the few GPs I rang wanted a few visits out of it

Will your regular GP not do it?

What did they say about a few visits?

If you want to go get one of those one-off full-on health checks with bloods fully checked, you're looking at paying out a minimum of €200. In Dublin anyway. I'd suspect it'd be more about the €250 mark but I haven't been looking. Went to a place called D2 health check or something along those lines. A doctor could do what you need and you wouldn't be looking at 4+ visits for it, I'd have thought

My GP did my bloods - 35 quid, got the results 4 days later.

Good price, mine charges €60 for bloods and call in a week later and pick up a copy of the results from the receptionist.

Ok thanks, will drop in to GP and ask, it was the receptionist I was talking to in two places and they were both confused by the ask, I was asking if it could be paid as a one off cost even if two visits, will just call in and try sort it out so, thanks

Heh, was going to start a thread asking pretty much the same question. I never get sick and aside from from a fractured pinky, haven't needed to see a doctor in over 10 years so have no idea about the entire process.

Will enquire about a test in the new year as my blood is already on it's way towards being poisoned for xmas.
