My husband is impossible to buy for and I have spent ages trying to come up with a good idea for him.... I am going to do up "A Year of Dates" for him and am looking for suggestions. I will have the usual like Movie night, Dinner out but am looking for some "different" ideas. I was thinking of adding in a surfing lesson maybe as well.
Any other ideas of places we could go or things we could do. Nothing "too expensive" as I want to be able to buy vouchers in advance (if possible) for all the things that require payment and don't want to end up spending a mint on this now as I do have some other presents bought already...

    Hike in the mountains
    Go-Karting
Boat tour (there's one around Dublin bay if you're in Dublin)
Kayaking on the Liffey (another Dublin one, sorry if you're from the other side of the country!)
Marathon of his favourite TV show day with snacks and such.
Trip to a football/soccer/whatever sport he likes match
You could throw in some sexy stuff if you wanted - may not be Christmassy but I'm sure he'd appreciate it!
    Romantic dinner at home
    Wine/Whiskey tasting
Tickets to a gig or play

    Few ideas:

    Picnic
    Trip to the beach
A long Sunday drive with a pub lunch
    Art gallery
    Museum
Day trip to another part of the country
Day at the races (horses, dogs, cars, whatever he is into)

    Comedy Club

Sounds like a lovely idea, I love a date with my husband!

A few things I've bought as presents for other people lately are cocktail making classes in the Westin (think it was 20 eur per person and you get to sample what you're making :) )
An introductory lesson on segways in Dublin or tours of the city/Phoenix park on them. Think they start from 25 eur.
Trip on the Viking Splash tour - meant to be good craic.
