    Hows it going

Im planning on cancelling sky sports in the coming days but before I do I just want to ask a couple of questions.

Do I need to give them any notice?

Will it affect my subscription to setanta and BT?

    Thanks in advance

You need to give 30days notice to cancel as far as I know, Setanta and Bt are a separate company but you get both when U sub to Setanta so you will need to cancel with Setanta directly if U no longer want them.

I think it might actually be 31 days as it's their sneaky way of getting an extra month from you.
And Sky Sports has no impact on other sports packages (why would it?.

Ok nice one thanks. I kind of knew the answers anyway but just wanted to be sure.

I was afraid that by cancelling the sky sports package the price for setanta would go up (dont know why I thought that but anyway).

Is there anything else I need to know?

Did that already and got a slight discount but to be honest im getting rode and cant justify it anymore. BT and setanta are all I really need so the rest of the sports channels can go!

No, it has always been 31 days cancellation notice where you pay for the following 31 days irrespective of when you cancel so its actually impossible to pay for an "extra month".

My experience is that the extra 1 day brings you into a new month that you have to pay for.

You should be looking for a refund so. :)

In my case, they worked it out pro-rata to the day as I cancelled in the middle of a payment month
