Garmin 705 with old software.

I've got a 2009 Garmin 705. I had to reset it to factory settings lately as it stopped working. Now, it's measuring data perfectly, but because of outdated software/firmware? it's not being detected on Garminconnect.

    Any ideas?

Try and run the web-updater on Garmin website and it should detect the available updates for your device.

The problem is that the device can't be detected by the Garmin website, so I can't do any updates as the scan doesn't detect any device.

The firmware update you need is 3.30.
The communicator version you need is 4.1.0.

After that, check your USB cable ( data and power are on separate pins ) and USB drivers.

I've had a bit of a problem with a garmin not being recognised on the garmin website lately (and its a new unit). From what I could find out there is a bug at the moment with internet explorer. I just went to the site using chrome and it recognised the device straightaway.
I understand though yours could be a different problem.
