My dad was using one a while back and it helped him cut down loads on the smokes. He stopped using it because the battery life was so bad on it, it kept going almost every time he used it. Either are good and very good value. As for the Liquid, well that is very personal to the user tbh.....just get lots and do not be afraid to try them all out, and good luck with getting your Dad back on the vaping
