Hi everyone just need some advice on this one, I have a 2000 skoda octavia that seems to be revving itself from time to time and no its not the throt cable since that's the first thing I had cleaned then replaced when this issue came up.
sometimes when I start my Idle rpm would be playing and down and the car would even hesitate on giving some gas to the engine when I try to drive it and eventually it stalls after a few stops check this video that I took just this morning...

Check the briskoda.net forums. A number of threads on this issue.

Coolant temperature sensor is a possibility.

Thanks seems that all those symptoms in the honest john link are the ones my car is having guess it could be the coolant temp sensor.

Iacv - idle air control valve and the ecu controls the fuel air ratio. Although some may also use secondary air injection? Dunno much bout that, dont want to, troublesome from what I hear.

Iacv do get clogged and can be cleaned easy enough usually. In this case if its not some skoda specific coolant temp sensor, my guess would be a vacuum leak.

(cant see the vid where I am tho)

Edit - seems secondary air injection only refers to exhaust/catalytic converters, not intake to the engine. Def not an isue here
