Has anyone seen My Dinner with Andre?

I absolutely loved this movie, I loved everything about it the setting, the music at the end and the conversation! What can I say about the dialogue its as if you are sitting at the same table with Andre and Wallace and listening to their life stories. Its just riveting and most of the topics that are been discussed are so relevant today. What did you think of it? Is there any other similar movies like this one with interesting dialogue?

You ever heard of a TV show called Community? Check out their episode called Critical Film Studies - season two, episode 19. The whole thing is essentially a homage to My Dinner with Andre.

I've never seen My Dinner with Andre ( I plan to), but I have seen My Breakfast with Blassie which, like that Community ep., is something of an homage, I'm guessing. However, it's probably a bit looser of an homage. It's basically comedian Andy Kaufman (Latka Gravis in Taxi) and the late wrestler Freddie Blassie sitting down to an informal breakfast and a chat. There's things that happen during the course of this where you're not sure if they're real or staged. Overall it's a funny little film but the humour is Kaufman-esque (...naturally).

Another one that just popped into my head is Melvin goes to Dinner about four young professionals dining at some eatery. In between the conversation scenes are flashbacks to their recent lives which help flesh out what they're talking about. Another one that's slightly comedic in tone.
