    Depends on gearbox....
    16 speed = great tractor.
32 speed = stay away or be prepared to replace gearbox with a 16 speed in the future.

    Look out for rust

ask the seller is it dynashift or not. sounds cheap but there are a lot of variables. eg how much tread is left on the tyres if they need replacing that's another €3000 you will have to fork out.

I'm not expert, but u would know if you get into one if the dynashift lever is on the left hand side if the steering wheel.

I'd make a stab at 8k for a clean one. Could pay. More

they are a good tractor some did suffer from electrical problems mostley broken wires and loose connections.

if you can get a manual 16 speed as in no electric gear changes your on to a winner.

roof for the newer 62 series is 2500+vat dont know abou these models.

I do know that the doors are an awful price for them if theye are rotten most of them are.

True, but the 135 are a bit of a collectors item now and go for that money. If you wanted something for work on a small holding, go for the small david brown, zetor or leyland. I saw a really nice DB 996 earlier this year for €2,000.

Can't comment on a Davy brown, but have a few Masseys, 135 and 2 165s, as reliable as you could wish, and parts a plenty, as I said if Davy Brown's the same then buy away

You'll not make much on 14 acres by spending 6 grand on a tractor.

im taking about zetor plus david brown ,dont even talk about compact tracters there dear

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 588 ✭✭✭MFdaveIreland

The small compact tractors are quite expensive, likes of 165 or so get at around 3-4 k, go forever, nt sure the newer compact tractors will last as long, and sure if you could get a 3075 with nice cab etc for a bit more u may as well do it, advantage to small acres means may last longer
