2005 corolla gearbox

    Hi lads,
    How much would a new gearbox for a 1.4 2005 petrol Corolla set me back approximately? Also, what would be a good price to have one reconditioned and fitted?

    300 to 400 for gear box might as well do clutch while its out so add another 350

    Approximately 3500 + VAT + labour.

    Reconditioned - roughly 500-600 notes + labour, 2nd hand one from a scrapyard (unknown condition) 300-350 + labour.

    New aftermarket clutch set (disc + cover + bearing) is approx. 100-150.

    Labour would be 200-300, with or without clutch does not really matter. :)

    Presuming its the bearings that are gone on it, It should be about €700 inc. labour & VAT. Thats what we would normally charge, Can't think of the price of the clutch off the top of my head.
