    40/night roomrate for a 3* in Winter is not as fantastic a deal as they're making out - its not that hard to find elsewhere.

    PPS, you never see this outside Ireland its a disgraceful term especially if it doesn't include breakfast

    Show us. West Cork is a bit far for me but I'd be interested elsewhere.

    Find a hotel that's <55 online and phone them - they lose commission to online sites generally.

    I picked a random night in January in Cork City for two sharing and got two under 40 and a further 10 for 50 or less, some of which included breakfast (which brings this place to 52).

    Once you go to two nights you start getting better deals at that. This is all before we delve in to the horrors of deal/voucher sites.
