    I know it's early but it's good to plan ahead ! ;)

Contenders are: Blanchardstown , Liffey Valley or Dundrum..?

Dundrum would have more high end shops, and therefore you might get some good designer clobber for a lot less...

Blanch / Liffey etc have more the Topshop / H&M stuff, which is pretty cheap anyway. Depends what you're after.

I'd say Dundrum and be there at 7am! ;-)

Spare a thought for the retail staff who won't be able to have a drink on Christmas night as they have to be in work at 6am to get the shop ready for you.

Ehhhh not relevent. There are many people who work over christmas time and even (shock horror!) Christmas day.....nurses, firemen, shop assistants, taximen etc and i have done many a time myself. Will we spare a thought for them here in this thread too?
In answer to the actual question, blanch is the best, free parking and best mix of shops.

Some services are essential, like hospitals, fire services, and even taxis to some degree. Some services, like shopping on St Stephens Day, are non-essential.

It really isn't relevant. Plenty of people have to work Stephens Day. I work in IT and some people on my team even have to work on Christmas Day. It's not just retail and essential services, but also companies that deal with with customers in other parts of the world where christmas is not celebrated.

Is town any good for Stephens Day shopping?

And why do you have to drink on the xmas night? Maybe spare a thought for the emergency services that have to deal with drunks daily!!

Back on topic please. This thread isn't about whether shops should open or not. Thanks.

I was in town a few years ago and it was dead, very few places were open. Generally it'll be advertised which shops have sales on but not all will whereas in a shopping centre they all seen to open.
