I requested my information from the gardai. I requested 'all information available'.

I got a complete record of all searches that took place and all my court appearances but never got a report back on my arrests (was arrested about 2 years ago)

By the way the court appearances were traffic related not because of the arrest... Is it possible the arrest was never recorded?

I know of a case where a conviction didn't show up on a search, but when this was pointed out, a very diligent Garda worked hard to locate the relevant record of that conviction.

The question might arise as to whether somebody should enquire further to check to see if information is truly buried or if it could possibly show up. I suppose that the answer is going to be how hard people are going to look. I could be wrong, but I would guess that the chances of there being no record of an arrest must be slim, these days

You may get a more practical perspective on this on the Emergency Services forum.

I suppose that the question that you may wish to ask may be what is the likelihood that the arrest record could show up on a subsequent search.

Thanks mate, The information they sent me was very clear so I can't see why they'd leave out the arrest. I asked for 'all personal data held'. Seems strange.

You can lock this as I started another thread in Emergency services.....
