I have an 01 ford focus.
I needed to charge up the battery and didn't get adkubd to it now its dead as a doornail and wont start with jump leads.

I am in cork and dont have any buddies here who can toe me to a garage.

Whats a reasonanle price for a garage to come out to me (about a mile away) to charge up my battery?

    Thanks in advance

You using decent quality jump leads ? A lot of the cheaper ones from Lidl etc aren't worth a toss.

Were you getting anything when you connected it up ? i.e dash lights etc.

    trickle charge the battery first.

ie. connect up the jump leads, and leave the donor car running. Leave the cars in this configuration for around 15 minutes and dont try starting your own car in the interim;- wait the 15 minutes.

I had to do this with my own car a couple of months ago. dead as a dodo it was. This method did the trick.

Was just going to suggest that. Leave connected 10/15 mins first, then jump it.
I've had to do this a couple time with herself's Micra.
