I've a mazda 3 2007, petrol. My mum hit the curb a few days ago. She says it wasn't a hard hit, but the curb was pretty high.

Now, the airbag light came on. I suspect these two are related. Anybody know what could be the issue? Anything I can do to fix it myself?

    Thanks

Something similar happened to mine in the summer - although under different circumstances. I pulled the driver seat back a little too vigorously one day while sitting on it. When I started up the car the light came on. I read online the airbag connector is under the driver seat. I tightened that a little by hand and the light went off immediately. Not exactly the same cause but might be of some use to you.

Only way of establishing identifying the fault is to get car plugged into dealer level diagnostics.

Post the county you're in and some one here mah be able to help
