Etapa de la Vuelta 2014

Hi all, just wondering if anyone here has ridden the sportive 'Etapa de la Vuelta' ?

I'm really keen to do this next year, as it's my favourite of the Grand Tours, but I guess route details for the sportive won't be released for another month yet.

It's very hard to find out anything online regarding the sportive itself - if anyone here has taken part in the 2012 or 2013 event, can you remember when the details for the course were released? (presume it's some time in Jan when the Vuelta route is announced)?

Also, did you use/find a package deal with some tour operator?
I don't mind arranging it myself - I did Etape du Tour 2012 via OYB, and Flanders 2013 via Sportstours, but neither seem to have packages for Vuelta (same goes for Velopeloton unfortunately)

Last one....for the etape du Tour I had two friends and myself all clicking(hammering) the ASO website that morning to get in on the first round of entries, but I was wondering if it was the same kind of 'panic' to get in an early entry with the Vuelta sportive?

    hope you can help!
    Andy

I looked into doing the Etape in Barcelona but was put off a bit by the difference in Start / Finish locations at first but it seems like there are plenty of event buses to bring you to the start on the morning from Andorra or visa versa at the end so if its the same organisors then they do a good job with logistics.

The Tour De France one is more popular but I'd imagine the Etape Veulta and Barcelona events will gain momentum but you should be ok for a few days getting tickets but if you want one be ready on registration day.

Pending logistics I think I might go for this in August for a change from France last 2 years. Like yourself if anyone sees any packages please post but last year I did my own thing for the French one so might do same for this in 2014 and organise myself. I rented a car which worked out cheap.

Look forward to seeing the stage they pick this year :):):)

This might be of interest. Haven't used this company but came across them on a google search.
