    Hi All,

I have wanted to get parking sensors added to my car and came across parkingsensors.ie. Has anyone here used them recently?

Their prices look steep. All that this is is just a wire split off the reversing light switch and a few sensors stuck to the bumper. It should be under 100 euro. It is a DIY job if you are handy with the spanners.

I bought one on eBay for 20 euro and it's perfect

Did you install yourself? I assume it only takes about an hour or less?

You want someone to supply and paint sensors, come out and put holes in the bumper for €100, then stand over them?

Parts are cheap, job doesnt take long and painting the tiny sensors is not a big deal.
These lads advertise sensors fitted for €165. Even that seems steep to me.

I installed it to a van. Took longer as longer wire runs. But a car I'd say 2 hours max

Are there instructions etc. with the ones from ebay? The OH has recently bought a Passat and can't get used to the dimensions of it and rear sensors would help her no end. Would like to try my hand at this
