Well i'v already seen 3 checkpoints today, even seen 2 of them on the beat at 8.45 this morning :eek: I also seen a good few camera vans. Wonder how much money they'll bring in for Christmas :o

yep second that with the camera, seen it more and more recently in city centre

Operation Freeflow wasn't done last year, at least it wasn't advertised and I noticed the lack of Gardai compared to previous years on my commute.

The two or three years before that you had a Guard standing at most major junctions and bus lanes and there was a noticeable improvement in the traffic.

If you're going to spout populous nonsense at least have some idea of what you're talking about.

Open city: a city where all defensive efforts have been abandoned in the hope that the attacking forces will capture it peacefully, minimising the suffering of civilians. Sounds about right for Dublin 2013
