Nexus 4 faulty - return to Google via Parcel Motel?

    Hi all,

When I woke up on Sunday morning my Nexus 4 was soft-bricked - basically stuck in a bootloop and I couldn't do anything about it despite being relatively technically minded and working hard on it for about two hours! Anyhow, I contacted Flubit about repair or replacement and they are organising a new phone to be sent via Google to my Parcel Motel account. However, I need to return the bricked phone or I'll get charged again. Has anyone returned a Nexus to Google via Parcel Motel, and if so, how exactly will it work? Do Parcel Motel pick up as well as deliver?

Thanks for any help you can give! :)

You will have to post the item back yourself as Google won't cover the cost of shipping from Ireland.

You can use anybody you want really, DHL, An Post. Obviously, Parcel Motel is the handiest:

Hey man. Same thing has happened to my ohone. Can you give an update on what happened with regard to this? How old was your nexus?

Did they send you a new nexus 4, or a nexus 5?

Hey - I believe they sent me a replacement Nexus 4 BUT....the package sent by Google managed to get lost after being accepted by Parcel Motel, so I've no idea whether it was brand new, refurbished or what. Haven't been charged for the replacement phone yet, which is strange, I'm guessing once Google request the money from Flubit I'll get stuck with the bill for the lost phone. It's really annoying, so hard to get answers from anyone and with three different suppliers involved (Google, Flubit and Parcel Motel) I foresee a lot of dodging when I try to get compensation!

This is what I'm afraid of. For the past week, my nexus battery randomly drops like 30% in an hour - and now every time it runs out of power I get that flickering red led and it gives me awful hassle turning back on.

Its less than ideal, and not what I paid for - but I'd rather use my 5 month old faulty working phone rather than get screwed over by Google/flubit etc.

Same here...drops 40%. Phoned Google and they are doing the exchange.
I have the replacement but I am worried that the busted one will go missing if i post it back using PM....

I posted one back via PM before. They sent a prepaid bag to PM and i collected it, then I sent via PM to Royal Mail (Prepaid bag was for parcel force but RM sort it)

Parcel motel charge is 15 quid to Slough. But of a killer. So how did you send it Royal Mail or do Parcel Motel just bring it Royal Mail? It's a prepaid bag so kind of stupid paying parcel motel.

In galway these days so no access to royal mail. I dropped it at my nearest PM locker and they took it to RM in Northern Ireland. It was 4.50 to send there. They have an option on their site. something like 'I have a prepaid package for Royal Mail'

I have do a return but its from the original Parcel Motel address in Northern I-

The prepaid package is only from that address

There is no Parcel Force option on the Parcel Motel site......

Can i use the "I have a Royal Mail prepaid envelope?"
