As well as being the last Raw before next Sunday's TLC pay-per-view, it's also time for the annual WWE Slammy Awards presented by Booker T and Jerry 'The King' Lawler. Awards are as follows:

Superstar of the Year (Presented by Shawn Michaels)
Nominees: John Cena, Daniel Bryan, Randy Orton, CM Punk, Big Show, Brock Lesnar

Diva of the Year (Presented by Eve Torres)
Nominees: AJ Lee, Kaitlyn, Natalya, The Bella Twins, The Funkadactyls, Eva Marie

Double-Cross of the Year (Presented by The Shield)
Nominees: Triple H on Daniel Bryan, Shawn Michaels on Daniel Bryan, Mark Henry on John Cena, Paul Heyman on CM Punk

Match of the Year (Presented by Bret Hart)
Nominees: CM Punk vs The Undertaker (WM29), John Cena vs The Rock (WM29), Triple H vs Brock Lesnar (Extreme Rules), Cody Rhodes & Goldust vs Seth Rollins & Roman Reigns (Battleground)

Insult of the Year (Presented by The Miz)
Nominees: Stephanie McMahon towards Big Show, AJ Lee towards Total Divas, Paul Heyman towards CM Punk, Zeb Colter towards non Real Americans

"LOL" Moment of the Year (Presented by Road Dogg & Billy Gunn)
Nominees: The Rock Concert, Vickie Guerrero fired as Raw GM, Titus O'Neil throwing up, The Great Khali & Jinder Mahal charming Santino's cobra

Extreme Moment of the Year (Presented by Mick Foley)
Nominees: The Shield powerbombing The Undertaker through announce table, Ryback spearing John Cena through the stage, CM Punk's revenge on Paul Heyman at HIAC, The Wyatt's on Kane at Summerslam

Fan Participation Award (Presented by The Prime Time Players)
Nominees: Fandango-ing, Yes Yes Yes, Lets Go Cena/Cena Sucks, What's Up

Some of the awards are awful, but Raw has slowly been improving in recent weeks. With a PPV on Sunday, hopefully it continues this week.

So The Bellas and the Funkadactyls count as 1 diva for each couple?

Poor Bryan being double crossed twice.

Big Show for Superstar of the Year? :)

Be fun if The Authority blatantly fixed the awards in their favour...

The fact HBK is presenting the Superstar of the Year award though makes me think they reckon Bryan will win it if it's a fan vote...

Superstar of the Year (Presented by Shawn Michaels)
Daniel Bryan - I hope they tease the tension between Bryan & Michaels

Diva of the Year (Presented by Eve Torres)
AJ Lee - Aj's been the only thing interesting about the ENTIRE Diva's division

Double-Cross of the Year (Presented by The Shield)
Mark Henry on John Cena - Mark Henry FOOLED EVERYBODY, he has to win in my opinion

Match of the Year (Presented by Bret Hart)
CM Punk vs The Undertaker (WM29),Cody Rhodes & Goldust vs Seth Rollins & Roman Reigns (Battleground)

AJ Lee towards Total Divas - See my Diva division comment

"LOL" Moment of the Year (Presented by Road Dogg & Billy Gunn)
Nominees: The Rock Concert, Vickie Guerrero fired as Raw GM, Titus O'Neil throwing up, The Great Khali & Jinder Mahal charming Santino's cobra - Found nothing LOL worthy, if anything the mentioned were terrible

Extreme Moment of the Year (Presented by Mick Foley)
The Shield powerbombing The Undertaker through announce table - One way to make an impact, put The Undertaker through the announce table

Fan Participation Award (Presented by The Prime Time Players)
Fandango-ing, Yes Yes Yes, Lets Go Cena/Cena Sucks - Shame we can't pick all three

If Mark Henry doesn't win the doublecross award, I just give up. It was amazing. One of the best things I've seen in WWE.

The whole thing will be rigged to the max though so expect HHH to win, because that's what we are supposed to care about and if we don't, they're going to pretend we do in the hope that it will convince us that we do and just never realised we did.

There are three nailed on awards (assuming it isnt rigged again) and that's one of them. The others are AJ for Diva and the Shield for Rookies. If those three dont win, it's rigged.

That Mark Henry double cross was great to watch, and somebody spoiled it for me ahead of time. Watching it live, I imagine I would have fell for it as being one of those legit little moments wrestling sometimes brings us.

The Daniel Bryan double-crosses were more significant because they actually cost him the WWE Championship. Whereas I don't think Mark Henry even won the gold (open to correction there, mind like a sieve).

Anyway, who else is looking forward to seeing Eve Torres more than Christian? Hopefully wearing a short-skirted business suit with those sexy glasses. I don't mind what Eve wears though :pac:.

I say after the 1 millionth match between John Cena & Randy Borton, have CM Punk challenge the winner, and let Punk be the Unified Champion, and have him stick it to The Authority, that's what's best for business

Well even though from an entertainment standpoint I enjoyed all the double-crossings, I would just assume that the more significant crossing is likely to win the award. And it would also be a bit weird for Henry to win now that he is a babyface.

Cue Mark Henry to win then so :pac:

I just don't see why it shouldn't be the best one. Which was surely the Henry one no? In that, he had us all fooled, nobody suspected a thing. I mean who didn't suspect a HHH doublecross?

I don't think anyone expected the Triple H double-cross until about 60 seconds before it happened, when he was loitering behind Bryan in the ring. Perhaps the most unexpected one was Henry, but it had no significance, he tapped out to the stf a week later, and turned face the next night. So in the end it meant pretty much nothing apart from an extremely well acted 10 minute speech.

Whereas Triple H at Summerslam cost Bryan the WWE Championship, was the beginning of a several months long feud, and the ramifications has put Bryan ahead of Cena ad Punk as number 1 face in the company.

So for that, Summerslam gets my vote.

So its the most meaningful doublecross rather than the best one? ****e idea for an award if you ask me. Mark Henry executed his to perfection, you could see HHHs coming, as you've admitted yourself. Scratch the awards and just throw them all out to the people at the top of the card so since those are the only storylines that WWE make any effort to develop longer than a week at a time.

Bryan will probably win at least one of the awards only for either Cena or Big Show to make it about them.

I personally like the Mizark Double cross as I didn't see it coming at all, where as I saw both HBK and Hunter possibly turning. Henry just reeled me in and hit me over the head with an ore. That's why I liked it anyway.

The more unpredictability in WWE, the better the product!

I'm still like a kid at Christmas whenever he does. You have your Mark Henry, and I love Mark Henry, you have your Big E Langston and you have your Big Show, but nobody does the monster thing like Brock Lesnar. Heyman is also always at his best when working with Brock too which is a lovely bonus.

Guess we'll agree to disagree. I thought it was dull, slow, boring and predictable as hell. The result was never in doubt.
I think the Brock effect has worn off and its not a big thing now if he returns.

He has been wasted. He started great with the Cena feud. Looked a monster despite the loss (he dominated 95% of the match before getting too cocky) and was still a very real danger. The Triple H stuff went far too long and Triple H got in far too much offence for a semi retired wrestler. The Punk feud was done backwards (starting with the biggest and then facer the lower Heyman guys) and again Punk got in far too much offence.

With the exception of the Cena match, WWE seem to be afraid to let him dominate. Personally, I think he needs a return in the Rumble match and eliminating five or six guys before someone sneaks him out like Maven did to Undertaker in 2002(?). Just have Lesnar go mental afterwards and he is suddenly a danger again along with a potential Wrestlemania match depending on who eliminates him.
