    I looked at exactly these two bikes in Wheelworx last Saturday and Rob told me that the CR1 was the better choice if I wanted something more comfortable for sportives etc and the Madone would be better for racing/climbing.

    That said they were both cracking machines and I'd love either of them. I was especially surprised that I liked the Trek as I always had a daft idea that they were somehow dull or boring. Brand snobbery at it's finest.
