3 month braces?

    Hi Folks,

I had braces in my late teens and of course, being the irresponsible teen that I was, never wore my retainer

Now a few years on, my top front teeth are slightly out of line(mainly my 2 front teeth) They are not bad really, just slightly out but I know if I let them go for a another year or 2,they'll worsen and I'll need braces again for a longer stint. I currently have a retainer which I use but I'm just self conscience enough about them now at this stage that I feel the need to take action on the braces front

So basically I'm wondering is there any treatment that can fix minor problems like the ones I've described above in a short period of time of say 3/4 months?

I've looked into the 6 month invisalign brace but to be honest they seem very expensive and a bit gimmicky and from what I've read online from certain orthodontists, they are quite simply a rip off

Are there any orthodontists out there that offer the normal 'train track' plan as normal, except with tightening at more frequent intervals for quicker results?

Edit: Also, I'm doing this purely for cosmetic reasons. I'm not concerned about my bite which I'm told by my dentist is still pretty decent

    Thanks in advance

Why don't you ask your own orthodontist for a short course of braces to tweak things. An orthodontist will have all the treatment options available, the same orthodontist will know your teeth and the result you want... You're more likely to get a deal with a guy that you paid a few grand to before....

    Why would you go elsewhere??

    Cheers for the reply

I actually got my braces done through the HSE as I was 17 at the time so I wouldn't be able to deal with that orthodontist. She was a bit of a wagon anyway!

I've a routine dental checkup next month so I'll ask to be referred to an orthodontist and see what they can do for me.

If anyone reading this happens to have had a short stint with braces for minor correction, drop me pm if the ortho was any good!

    Cheers
