Jigsaw puzzles

I honestly dont know where to put this. Jigsaws in art & craft?

Anyway, is anyone else into jigsaw puzzles?

What do people do with them once they have been completed?

Framing can be expensive and when you have alot of jigsaws it doesnt make sense.

Breaking them up is heart breaking. After weeks of completing a puzzles.

I have a few completed puzzles and they have all been glued, and on a desk. But after that I dont know what to do with them. The glue isn't strong enough to hold the puzzle upright. It has to be on a flat hard surface.

    So what do others do?

Or can you maybe get large pieces of strong cardboard and use it as backing and glue the puzzle onto it? Is there such a thing?

like you, i hate breaking them up if they've been especially difficult. what i do is flip them over and seal them up with tape - the kind you use for sealing up parcels. i suppose flipping over could be a problem if you've done the puzzle on a table rather than a board. its easy enough for me i have a big leather folder that you do the puzzle on and that zips up so that you put it away when not doing it.

I found this site that has online jigsaw puzzles.

Don't know if it would be of any interest but at least you don't have to store them when finished. I know someone who loves jigsaws but she also wonders what to do with them when finished, they can pile up after a while. I don't think they were designed to be kept together, the beauty of them is that you can make them over and over again, i.e. value for money! :)

Yes after all that work - you finally get the picture you are looking at in real size. that's my satisfying feeling. It is accomplished;). Its my achievement nobody can take away. A great search is complete. No problem to break it then up put it a few years away or pass it on to a friend who does give me sometimes a different jigsaw. Unfortunately he is not as careful with all the parts and sometimes looses a piece - less satisfying:mad:.

I just do one at Christmas. Then it is broken up after a few days admiration. I pass on the good ones to others. It is not just the design of the picture but also the quality of the pieces that makes for a good jigsaw.
