The father in law, who's normally a nightmare to get a gift for told the wife that he'd be happy out with a beer selection this year.

Going to put together about a dozen bottles in a nice basket for him...suggestions welcome, and not stuff thats too hard to find!!

He likes his lagers but will give anything a go

    Cheers

Got a leaflet from the celtic whiskey store today that has a hamper in it for about 50. Had a decent selection of Irish beers

Check out the drinkstore website, you can use it as a reference or use there online/walk in shop.

    http://www.drinkstore.ie/WORLD-%26-CRAFT-BEER-IRELAND/

The link is to Irish craft beers and all would be easily available at the moment.

Best to get a variety of differant styles. I love 8 degrees brewery, they have lots of new limited beers out at the moment as well as a good few regular beers.

Heres a random list of beers i would love in a hamper for myself!

    1. Carlow Brewing O'Hara's Leann Folláin Full-Bodied Irish Stout
    2. Galway Bay Brewery Buried At Sea Chocolate Milk Stout 500ML
    3. Galway Hooker Irish Pale Ale 500ML
    4. Dungarvan Brewing Helvick Gold Blonde Ale 500ML
    5. Carlow Brewing O'Hara's Irish Red Ale 500ML
    6. Porterhouse Hophead Irish Pale Ale 330ML
    7. Hilden Twisted Hop 500ML
    8. Trouble Brewing Dark Arts Porter 500ML
    9. Eight Degrees Barefoot Bohemian Lager 330ML
    10. Eight Degrees 'Back To Black Series' Zeus Black IPA 330ML

I just placed this order on the drinkstore.ie to give to my brother as his christmas gift:

    8 degrees Russian Imperial Stout
    8 degrees Zeus Black IPA
    8 degrees Howling Gale Ale
    O'Hara's Barrel Aged Leann Follain
    Dungarven Coffee and Oatmeal Stout
    Kinnegar Rustbucket Rye

and if he doesn't enjoy them I certainly will!
