Old sky had box

    Hi

    As per old post was going to get sky hd but got turned off with no rf connection on boxes.

    Do older had boxes have rf connection? If I buy one 2nd hand will my current sky+ card work in it (thinking of setting it up myself and calling sky to upgrade when good offer comes out).

    "Send signal" to other tvs in house. Know you can do with io link with new boxes but can't get io link

    All the old boxes ,i,ve seen have ,rf1, 2 connectors.

    i got old hd box, 3 years ago,

    switched it ,in place of a non hd box.

    I rang up sky ,
    it took 15 minutes to turn it on.
    i had a sub to sky movies, entertainment channels.
    Don,t buy one, unless you get the hd remote too.
    got it on adverts ie,60 euro.


    connect it via hdmi, to tv, if you want to watch hd channels.


    THEY have to turn on the card ,so ring them,
    say i got a hd box,
    can you turn it on.
    you,ll get the free channels on it,

    anyway ,
    test it before you ring them up.

    theres 4 or 5 free hd channels, bbc, itv, etc

    newer hd boxes have larger , harddrives.
    i think the first boxes ,had 40gig drives in em.
