Rattle under acceleration

This sound only happens under heavy revving, it sounds like a pebble bouncing around but suspect it might be the water-pump belt, if I take it easy with the accelerator I can stop the sound from appearing at all. The water pump is on the side where the sound is coming from and the Turbo is on the other side. Any ideas? The engine is a 1JZ VVTI Turbo.

Its not something simple, like a loose piece of heat shield rattling..?

You could try bleeding your coolant system. Had a noise like that on a car years ago. Think that's how I sorted it.

As georgefalls says could it be a loose heat shield. This was a problem I had a while back. Under high Revs/Acceleration there was a fierce rattling coming from what sounding like the front right, but turned out to be a loose heat shield.

Mystery sound solved, there was a loose screw under the glove box, the vibration from the engine was causing it to move around in its hole. Happy it was not something more serious.
