Getting Funding

I dont know much about the social welfare, but I do know there are all sorts of schemes and funding available for people on it and trying to get off it and businesses can sign up for internships and what have you.

Heres the thing. Im looking at starting my own business. I should be fully and up and running by January.

Im going to be employing a young chap who is currently on social welfare.

Is there any way possible for him to get funding for driving lessons and his test. Basically hes been on it for a couple of years and doesnt have a car because he cant afford it, and he cant get a job because he lives about 8 miles from the nearest town and there's no bus service. Its a bit of a catch 22.

Anyway I'll employ him but I need him to get driving.... is there anything the social welfare can do for him to help with lessons etc?
