Just wondering what other people's take is on this.

I get the 2nd last bus on a particular route fairly regularly, boarding about 8 stops from the end of the route, and I've noticed that a particular woman is regularly on the bus when I get on. I notice her because about 3 stops from the end she goes up to the bus driver and sort of flutters her eyelids and says "my kids are at the next bus stop, can we pick them up and bring them to the end". Most recently the bus driver commented "You're making a bit of a habit of this" and went on to waffle about inspectors and so on, to which the lady was gasping and going "Oh my gosh, really?" in a sort of a fake way.

At the next stop her kids got on, maybe 7 and 8 y.o. (there was an adult with them who didn't board) and sat down. No payment was made for their carriage. They carried on to the end terminus.

report it to Dublin bus and they can investigate or have an inspector waiting to catch the woman.

Well at least the chizzlers sat down...that's impressive for a start.

Assuming this is a Dublin Bus service you refer to...I'd like a little assistance in interpreting some aspects of the post...as in a definition of the bolded terms...."Sort of flutters" "Waffle about Inspectors and so on" and finally "A sort of a fake way".

How about your take Foggy, whaddya make of it all.....could this be the dreaded return of the Busdrivers Concubine and serial offspring ??

Men, it has been well said, think in herds; it will be seen that they go mad in herds, while they only recover their senses slowly, and one by one.

    Sort of flutters = flirts
Waffle about inspectors = Was telling lies about inspectors
Sort of fake = Did not appear to be sincere
