Bad crash on Sandyford road

I have just being told that a cyclist was in a bad crash on Sandyford road has anyone any news on this traffic is mental .

Was just out on Sandyroad Road, walking the dog. The bike was still there. Terrible to see.

Stright stretch of well lit road.

I drove by this last night...got an awful fright cause i saw a black tarpaulin thing covering a body/bike sized object in the road...I hope it was the bike

According to the Garda twitter, critical condition in Vincents, haven't seen/heard anything otherwise!

Guys can we please only post based on reliable/official sources (the Garda Twitter a/c being one, but hearsay, even from the Gardai not being one), and provide links. In addition there is to be no speculation over exactly what has happened here - that's for the authorities to determine

Just to let you guys know, the cyclist is a friend of mine and she is out of ICU in Vincent's but has several fractures to her skull. She is however talking and I have been told that she is aware of what happened.

Sorry I certainly have no intention in describing what happened. I'm just glad she's recovering.
