Hey, I hope this is correct place where to put the question.

So I have passed the Drivers test, got the cert and some form to fill and bring somewhere. Now, my biggest question is, do I get my drivers licence immediately after I come there and give them all they ask for, or do I have to wait for it, is it posted to me or what?

    Thanks!

Its posted out to you. They used to give you a nice little receipt which was good enough for any Garda, but Im not sure how the new crowd work.

    Congrats OP
Take a photo of your cert saying you passed your test and your learners permit along with your application for the full licence and keep these on your phone in case you come across a checkpoint.

The NDLS do the same. You apply. You get a receipt to produce should you need it. Licence is posted out in due course.

Grand, so I was today at omni shopping centre in Santry, there was crazy queue and no chance of getting it processed, plus they told me it will take 4-6 weeks till I receive it... and I was like W00t? So, I drove down to Westside Shopping Centre and got it done there, they were very understanding and let me explain my situation and got me in at very last minute(on top said, that it will take max 3 weeks to get it processed)... very happy now.

By the way, my situation is complicated, coz I am going tomorrow for 2weeks business trip and will have no chance of getting it done, then during xmas, I dont believe it'd be done and in beginning of January, I have to renew my licence, and Insurance company told me, that unless I have photocopy of an actual valid full licence, they will insure me as if I had provisional, which is quite more expensive, not mentioning the fact, that some insurance companies wont even insure you without full licence... so I am happy I got that sorted...
