    * Sorry wasn't paying attention and posted in the wrong section, can a Mod please move this to Musicians Available or Wanted? Thanks

    Hi,

Looking to getting an alternative/indy style band together, but with a difference. We already have Bass/Drums/Vocals but would like to replace the usual guitar with something different (eg violin), and one or two other instruments (maybe brass) backing this up.

We have been a typical rock band for years with the standard bass/drums/guitar/vocals setup and want to try breath some fresh life into things, and hopefully do something no one else is really doing.

We have a fairly large collection of original songs (30+) that would potentially transfer easily to a setup like this.

I guess we'd be looking at for example a violin/fiddle player who loves playing their instrument, but wants to bring into a completely different style from what would usually be expected of it (eg playing punk on an accordion).

Whether it would work or not I don't know, but if there is anyone out there with a more traditional type of instrument that would like to try this out please let me know.

    Thanks
