Yeah Giant are one of the biggest manufacturers and probably one of the best known worldwide. However thats a p1ss poor ad, no mention of size, spec, age, mileage done or anything to give a potential buyer an idea about the bike.

Looks ok, take it for a spin and see if you like it

That frame looks enormous, unless your 6'2" I'd forget it.

Seems good, depends on whether you'll fit on it. Ditch the visor on the helmet though, and get yourself a nice cotton cap though. Means you can flip cap up or down, and delays your helmet from getting stinky.

I wouldn't say that's a good deal. I mean its not bad if your offer is accepted but I genuinely think you'll get a little better for your money.
That bike has alloy forks, 2300 derailleur's, Tektro brake's non- integrated shifters all cheap and cheerful components.
I think at your money you should be able to get a carbon fork integrated shifters and sora components.......the bike may be a little older but as long as its been well looked after that shouldn't be a problem.

Two cables coming out of each of the lever units - it definitely has integrated levers.

Sorry I meant to say fully integrated shifters, as in Shimano STI or equivalent

    Definitely

Google for road bike sizing advice, but this looks about correct http://bicycling.about.com/od/howtoride/a/bike_sizing.htm

    Hi
I would say to go down to your local bike shop and see what they have second hand as they will be probaly be taking trade ins against new bikes at this time of year or chat to someone at a local cycling club, you will also get some useful advise regarding size etc. I would think you being 5'9 you would need a 54/56cm frame, also if you could afford an extra €80/100 get a proper bike fit as this will make it a lot more enjoyable and comfortable :-) on any bike you buy.

Size is the most important thing when getting a new bike. I rode a bike that was too big for me for a while and it lead to knee pain.

Do not get a bike that is the wrong size just because it may seem like good value.
