Help with 39 East in Midlands

Hi folks, I'm at 6.5 degrees west in Ireland, and have a 80cm dish on a rotor
to pick up international tv stations.
My dish is finely tuned - configured by myself on a warm summer's evening in the summer, and has worked ok from 30w (80+% signal) right over to 28.2 east (100% signal without a budge!) I have USALS set up on the receiver, and get rock solid signals on lots of satellites.
Can anyone explain why I am unable to at least see the F1 and F2 beams when I do a scan?
I can't even get 42 east on it... (which doesn't really matter as the signal is duplicated on 7e)
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

A couple of things to ponder mate:

HellasSat (and Turksat) are very low down in the sky. Do you have a clear view of the sky at that part of the arc?

You could only expect to pull in the western beam on Turksat - ensure these are the transponders you're looking at.

Also give 45 East a try - it is very strong in these parts :)

    Hope this helps...

You could check 33 and 36 East.

    Turf TV, encrypted on 33 11649 V 10098, 13 dB with me. Al-Iraqia Sport on 36 11652 V 3111, 11dB. 110 cm dish here.
