Hi, I'm wondering roughly how much a root canal on an upper lateral incisor would cost. Can it be filled afterwards or does it need a crown?

    600 yo yo
it will either need a post crown if there is little tooth left or no crown if no pre-existing filling in tooth.

Cost me €400 two years ago. Not sure if it's increased since then although I assume it has.

Most of the tooth is still there. But there's no way I can afford anything near that. Guess I'll grin and bear it for now.

The irony of all this is that my tooth felt fine until I brushed it a few days ago.

    Very funny.
I didn't brush due to the fact that the layer of crap in the tooth was the only thing keeping it covered. Pretty sad that I have to resort to doing that because I can't afford to see a dentist, but please, continue to deride me.

Steady on, no one is putting you down. i just find it hard to believe that brushing your tooth a few days ago was the biggest factor in needing a root canal....

Kinda like saying that my car fell apart after I washed it... shouldn't have washed it so.....mmmm!

I'm just assessing my options, the last time I had a tooth feeling like this my options were root canal or extraction.
And I know for a fact that it was brushing the tooth, every time I brushed before this it caused extreme sensitivity to cold which faded back to normal after a few days. This time though it caused full-on exposed nerve pain for 24 hours.
