I have three rads out of ten which remain cold at the bottom. I'd say the bottom third remains cold all the time.
I don't really want to take the rads off so am wondering if anyone has used Sentinel rad cleaner or indeed any other cleaner. Do these cleaners work.
    Any ideas please.

Have you tried turning the rest off to see if they improve ?

First ensure your problem is sludge build up and not a balancing or piping issue.

    Thanks for advice.
I have completely opened both valves on one of the rads as a test and it makes no difference. I took this same rad off a few years ago and flushed it out. There was about a bucket of black dirt/rust in it. When I put it back on it worked a treat.

If its that bad then the cleaner will be no good without removal and flushing the rads first, you will then require a good inhibitor to prevent its return, presuming there are no other issues causing the problem.

It looks like there is a bit of work ahead.... Any tips on taking off rad and NOT letting any dirty water spill. (you've noticed I'm not a plumber) .
