Hi , Advise please?? I have been out of work with the past 6 months due to an illness. I have been receiving social welfare benefit for this lenght of time. I have been advised by both my own GP and the Company GP that when returning to work which will be quite soon, to return on a part time basis for the first few months. Can anyone tell me if I will still quality for some benefit as I will only be getting paid for part time hours at work?

Do more than 3 days or more than 19 hours and youll get nothing

You could return to work and if you don't work more than 3 days in any week then you may be eligible to Jobseekers Benefit or Job Seekers allowance for the days you don't work as you will have suffered a substancial loss in employment.

That looks like your only option.

Partial capacity payment. I don't have a link - look it up. Just what you are looking for
