A nephew of mine would like a Steam voucher as a Christmas present. I know very little about Steam other than you can buy games on it (I presume yo can then download them).

How do I go about this? Do I need to set up an account with Steam, purchase the gift card/voucher and then send it to his account?

Can you buy steam gift cards in a bricks and mortar shop or the likes of Amazon?

    Thanks a million.

GameStop sell Steam Gift Cards in store. You don't need a Steam account, you get a unique code that your nephew can redeem it on the website or through the Steam program (Games > Redeem a Steam Wallet Code...)

Aye, its basically like buying a retail game in a store whereby you then just register a CD Key to your Steam account and that's that.
