    hi all,
iv eused fotospeed FD10 film developer at the recomended time, temp and dilution rate for processing a few rolls of hp5 400iso and the negs are very light. It there anything I can do to help when it comes to the printing or is this the results that this dev usually produce?
anyone ever used it with better results?
    THanks

processing time was 7mins as directed on bottle.

Never used it, the times seem to match up with the Massive Dev chart though http://www.digitaltruth.com/devchart.php?Film=HP5&Developer=FD10&mdc=Search&TempUnits=C assuming you used the right concentration. What was your temperature control like ? Agitation ?

At the end of the day might not even be the dev, could be you consistently underexposed the roll, or your shutter speeds are off, or film is old etc etc lots of variables here.

    -edit-

Eh also by 'light' I assume you mean they're a lot more transparent than you'd expect. You'll be able to pull something out of them regardless. I underexposed a roll of tri-x rather dramatically over the weekend, this one http://www.flickr.com/photos/dairequinlan/11178892586/ you could barely make out any image at all on the negative. The horizontal pattern is down to the crappy scanner.
