Wallet Robbed - Cards Cancelled

    Wallet robbed and dumped less the cash....which I have just had returned, cards were cancelled when robbed...are these cards now useless or can they be reactivated??? AIB debit card and a visa card fron BGL. Thanks...

    Nothing worse, happened to me during the summer!

    Once you have cards cancelled via banks lost or stolen they cannot be used again

    You are issued a brand new card with new details

    AIB are pretty quick at sending them though. Generally 2-3 working days to have card and pin. Plus you can always withdraw money in a a branch with an ID.

    BOI take forever to send a card as it comes from the uk

    banque generale luxembourg, used to live there and hung on to my accounts, better rates and a little bit more stable than the Irish banks were/are
