    Hi there,

Having recently graduated I'm looking at applying for the US graduate/intern visa. Could anyone offer some info on this. Thinking of applying directly to the embassy as I've heard USIT add extra charges. Can anyone advise please?

    Thanks in advance!

Unfortunately, you cannot apply directly to the Embassy. You must go through a sponsor (i.e. USIT, SAYIT etc). There's some information on j1visa.state.gov but not specific to Ireland and Irish graduates.

I have written up an FAQ here which may be of some help.
