Day and Night cream recommendations?

My day moisturiser (Estee Lauder Day Wear) and night cream (Youth Code) are coming to an end and I'd really love some help picking something else. I haven't been overly impressed with either to be honest, I wear Day Wear out of habit and Youth Code was an impulse buy.

I've recently made the leap from mid twenties to mid-late twenties so I'm eager to be good to my face! (I use and highly rate Clinique repair focus eye cream, maybe the sensible thing would be to get the face cream too!)

I haven't got the funds to try and test the way I used to, however I'm willing to splurge if something comes very highly recommended. I have normal skin with the odd monthly spot but other than that it's fairly clear.

I'd love to hear what you recommend!!

I have just started using Philosophy on my skin in the last 2 weeks - I can't believe how it has changed my skin! I have no morel little dry or oily patches. It just evens me out! They have a new stand in Debenhams where Nails Inc used to be (Henry Street) and give out little samples for you to try! I really am delighted with it!

Oh I've read great reviews about Philosophy but for some reason I thought it was just available in the US.

Brilliant I'll definitely go in and check it out, Thanks!

    Hi OP,

what type of skin do you have?
I have also made the move to late twenties.. and have upped my skincare regime. Dermologica is my moisturizer of choice,,and I combine it with their SPF 50...
I have tried the Philosphy Hope in a Jar, I didn't find it had many active ingredients at all. Although they have a lot more products in the range!
You should try the skin care mapping in Dermologica, they do it for free!

Hi Percy, I've wanted to try out Dermologica.stuff for ages but have you found it's only really available in salons or from independent beauticians? This makes me so uncomfortable because it always feels a bit salesy, I know it's but a bit salesy but at least with others you get to potter around by yourself having a read of everything you know?

If there were items that came highly recommended I'd definitely go buy them, I just don't want to be wasting their time (the salon across the road stocks it and is always crazy busy)

My skin is pretty normal really, other than the odd monthly spot it's clear. Neither dry or oily and it's pretty good when I look after it and drink loads of water etc, but it needs to be looked after properly or it does get a cloggy.
My main concern is aging, while I accept that some aging will happen regardless, I want to prevent anything preventable!

    Hi OP,

Lucky you no major problems with your skin! :-) you probably wont have to use any specialist products!
I buy dermologica online... its a lot cheaper... an eye cream, moisturizer and face wash work out about 130e... and last about 5 months!
I know its pressurizing when your with the beautician to buy! but even the product sets for different skin types could be a good introduction! They are under 30e and you would get a few weeks use.
Their web site has the skin mapping facility and some of the websites that sell the products offer advice by the sales team of what products to use!

They sell Dermalogica in Harvey Nichols in Dundrum btw, if you don't want to have a look at the stuff in a salon (I find that a bit awkward myself). Haven't tried it yet though.

I recommend A Perfect World by Origins, it has a lovely texture and smell and it's probably one of my favourites.

It's pretty much the same price to be honest!

Also try Kiehl's, love their night cream!
